DOCUMENTATION & USER GUIDE
How to use Verihaq✦
Verihaq has two surfaces and one account: the web dashboard for pasted article text, and a browser extension for the page you are already reading. Reports, quota, and sign-in are shared.
One Account · Two Surfaces
Same sign-in, shared monthly report quota, and one Reports list.
Create Your Account
Verihaq uses one sign-in. After you confirm your email, the same email and password work on the website and in the browser extension.
- 1Register: Open the Sign Up page and enter your email address and a strong password.
- 2Confirm Email: Check your inbox for the verification email sent by Verihaq. Tap the confirmation link to activate your account.
- 3Single Login: Sign in on the web. Later, when you install the Verihaq extension, log in using these exact same credentials.
Note: You do not need a separate extension account. Both surfaces share the same profile, Reports list, and monthly allowance.
Master the Web Dashboard
Use the dashboard when you already have the article text: a newsletter, a PDF export, or a page the extension cannot read. The sidebar labels this area Overview, Reports, Billing, and Settings.
- 1Open New analysis: From Overview, tap New report. That opens the New analysis page.
- 2Paste content: Fill Article text with the article body, not a URL. Title (optional) helps you find it later in Reports.
- 3Run the report: Tap Analyze. Live progress walks through reading the article, finding claims, checking facts, looking at both sides, then putting the report together. It usually takes about a minute (up to a few minutes). You can leave the page. The finished report appears under Reports.
- 4Read the report: You get an overall score, category bars, and Top Insights (Strong Point, Area for Improvement, Missing Information). Tabs cover Article, Overview, Analysis (claims), and Sources. Author background is on Overview.
Tip: Paste the article body, not a URL. You need at least 100 letters or numbers. Longer pieces are trimmed to 50,000 characters.
Using the Browser Extension
The extension is for a live article tab. Click the Verihaq icon to open it next to the page, sign in with the same account, then analyze without pasting the text.
- 1Install and pin: Tap Get the Verihaq extension, then pin it to your browser toolbar.
- 2Sign in: Click the Verihaq icon in your browser, then log in with your website email and password.
- 3Analyze the page: On a public article, tap Analyze this article. If you already extracted text, tap Check credibility. Browser settings pages, extension stores, and empty tabs cannot be analyzed. You will see “Can’t analyze this page.”
Understanding Credibility Scores & Categories
Each report has an overall score from 0–100. The badge on the report uses four labels:
Highest overall band on the report.
Still in the high band, below Strong.
Some support, with notable gaps or concerns.
Serious problems with claims, evidence, or framing.
On the Reports list, the Solid filter includes scores of 70 and above (Strong and Solid). Claims inside a report use Supported, Contradicted, Mixed, or Not verified. Category bars cover Claim Verification, Evidence Quality, Context Completeness, Opposing View Completeness, Author Credibility, Incentive Analysis, Emotional Framing, and Presentation Bias.
Reports, Monthly Quota & Plans
- Shared allowance: Web and extension reports both count toward the same monthly limit. Overview and Billing show used vs limit.
- Monthly reset: Unused reports do not roll over. The next batch is available on your reset date.
- Plans: Free includes 5 reports per month, Pro 40, Extra 80. Paid plans add more reports, with the same analysis. Manage this from Billing. Changing plan resets this month’s used count.
Troubleshooting & Frequently Asked Questions
The extension says “Can’t analyze this page”
Open a public article URL. Browser settings pages, extension stores, empty tabs, and many homepages cannot be extracted. If extraction fails, copy the article body and paste it into New analysis (New report on Overview).
Sign-in works on the website but not in the extension
Confirm your email first, then use the same address and password. If a reset link expired, request a new one from Forgot password.
Where do extension reports go?
They save to the same Reports list as dashboard analyses. Search by title or source, and filter Solid, Mixed, Weak, or Saved.
What happens when my monthly report limit is reached?
New analyses are blocked until the reset date shown on Billing, or you upgrade for a larger monthly allowance.
